3A and percutaneous screw

The self-tapping and self-drilling screws in the bePOD product line are used to fix metatarsal and phalangeal osteotomies.

Product line

Two different types of self-tapping and self-drilling screws are available:
– a “3A” screw with differential pitch that is self-tapping, self-drilling and self-compressing
– a “percutaneous” screw with continuous thread that is self-tapping and self-drilling but does not provide compression

The same screws are used to fix metatarsal and phalangeal osteotomies.

Indications

– Treatment of hallux valgus of the 1st ray (big toe) with compressive fixation, following distal and proximal metatarsal and phalangeal osteotomies
– Compressive fixation of multiple forefoot fractures

Features and materials

– Made of biocompatible titanium alloy (TA6V4)
– Screws are supplied in sterile individual packs
– Available in two diameters: Ø 2.5 mm (pink anodisation) and Ø 3 mm (blue anodisation)
