FHK fixed-bearing total knee prosthesis
The FHK fixed-bearing implant may or may not allow preservation of the posterior cruciate ligament. The choice is between a posteriorly preserved fixed-bearing prosthesis or a posteriorly cam-stabilized prosthesis. Implants available in cemented or cementless versions.

The FHK fixed-bearing implant may or may not allow preservation of the posterior cruciate ligament. The choice is between a posteriorly preserved fixed-bearing prosthesis or a posteriorly cam-stabilized prosthesis. Implants available in cemented or cementless versions.
Features and materials
- Tibial and femoral implants are manufactured in CoCr (Cobalt Chrome), available cemented and cementless,
- The inserts are made of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene),
- Cementless femurs receive a T40 titanium projection on their inner surface and a hydroxyapatite coating for secondary fixation,
- FHK Fastrack cementless tibias have a 500µm-thickness layer of porous titanium on their inner surface for secondary fixation. They feature enlarged wings compared to FHK, spikes on the underside and windows for osteotome insertion,
- Depending on bone quality, tibial extension stems are available in two lengths and two diameters.
Patella
The patellar implant is available in two versions:
- Inlay,
- Resurfacing.
Instrumentation
FHK instrumentation, in four baskets, is able to adapt to surgeons philosophy:
- Cutting orders choice,
- Femoral reference choice (anterior or posterior),
- Femoral cuts choice (1+4 or 5 in 1),
- Tibial alignment choice (intra or extramedullary).
